Slips are part of quitting, not a failure. Use the SOS Lifeline for an immediate craving, log what happened, and the Toolkit will help you plan the next 24 hours. Your streak resets — your progress doesn't.

A single craving usually peaks within 3–5 minutes and fades — even if you do nothing. The first 72 hours are the hardest, with most physical withdrawal easing in 2–4 weeks. The AI Coach can talk you through a craving in real time.

Does Quit Coach replace my doctor or NRT (patches/gum)?

No. Quit Coach is a support program, not medical advice. If you're using nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), Champix (varenicline) or any prescription, keep working with your GP or pharmacist alongside the app — they pair very well.

The AI Coach is available 24/7 by chat or voice. It's trained to be supportive and practical — it helps you plan, troubleshoot cravings and stay accountable. It is not a replacement for a human counsellor in a crisis.

Streaks save once the green confirmation appears. If you lost signal mid-save, open the dashboard again — we'll usually recover it within a minute. If a day is genuinely missing, email us and we'll restore it.

Usually a brief network blip. Close and reopen the chat, or refresh the page. If you see an error code, screenshot it and send it via the form below.

Notifications aren't coming through

Accepted Answer

Check that your browser/phone notifications are enabled for our site, and that you've added Quit Coach to your home screen on iOS (iOS only sends push notifications to installed web apps). Quiet hours in Account → Notifications may also be muting them.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap 'Forgot password' and we'll email you a reset link. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam/junk, then message us below.

Is my data private?

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes — go to Account → Delete account, or email us. We permanently remove your personal data within 30 days (some anonymous, aggregated stats may be kept for research).
